February Feature Cats:  FURRPURR and all our black cats:

FURRPURR is a great cat, she is very friendly and loves everybody.
She is about 1-1/2 years old and spayed.  Furrpurr is not a large cat, only about 8 lbs.
and quite petite.  She would make a good in/out cat, as she has experience outside.
But, we're sure she would prefer to be an inside cat and on your lap as
much as possible.  Furrpurr has a wonderful personality!

 
February feature dog:  JERRY
JERRY has probably been a "Dog of the Month" before, but
we were hoping that by "spotlighting" him again, we might be able to find a
new forever home for him.  Jerry is about 4 years old now and neutered.
He has been at the shelter since May of 2010, that's almost 2 years!
Her is our longest resident.  Jerry is a great dog, he's just a little shy
with new people, but once he knows you, it's nothing by wagging tail.
Jerry loves the water and gets in the pool, during the summer months
on "big dog playday".   He is great on the leash and a very gentle, friendly dog.

and 1 dog, Beau to our "FREE" list.

 We are open Tuesday thru Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Please be sure to call before bringing any animal to our shelter.
We have a waiting list.  Sometimes it may take a few weeks,
but just keep checking, your turn will come up.
We do have a $20 intake fee.  We appreciate your patience.

You can now adopt one of our adorable adoptables and
have that new pet flown or trucked to you anywhere
in the continental United States.

Our adoption fee is $70 per animal.
Our intake fee is $20 per animal,
which barely covers the cost of the animal's first vaccinations.

Due to the over population of animals in our area,
we have a limited number of spaces available, so
PLEASE call 417-272-8113 Tuesday thru Saturday,
between the hours of 11:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
before bringing any animal to our facility.

 All our dogs are now tested for Heartworm and are on Heartworm preventative.
All our cats are tested for FeLV, FIV and Heartworm.
So, when you adopt from us, we try to make sure
you are adopting the healthiest animal within our means.
We do still recommend that you take your new pet to a vet for a well-being checkup.
