We, here at the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, are currently helping the Humane Society of Missouri, rescue the cats in the White Eagle Woods area of Reeds Spring.  There was a note put in the mailboxes of residents that threatened to poison cats by setting out bowls of antifreeze in that subdivision.  At present, we have several cats and kittens we have rescued from that area, at our shelter.  We have tested, vaccinated, checked for parasites, and all will soon be spayed/neutered and made available for adoption.  We will continue our ongoing efforts to help these cats, until we feel we have taken all steps necessary.  We appreciate your continued support through volunteering and donating to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society.  The help is especially needed with the care and treatment of these rescued cats.

Welcome to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society!

MEL is not the friendliest of cats.  In fact, we are all somewhat scared of her :)  She is the kind of cat that you can give her about 2-3 pets and then "lookout"!  She's out to whack you!  That's what we call a "not needy" cat, or a cat with "huge cattitude"!  Mel is about 3 years old and spayed.  She's a loner and does her own thing.  In time, once she gets used to her surroundings, she would probably be a good in/out cat.  ALSO, we have found that one a ca (or dog) leaves the shelter, their whole personality changes.  We think Mel will make someone a great cat, given the chance.  But don't expect a lovey/dovey cat when you take Mel home - it ain't gonna happen :)  Mel is a pretty yellow Tabby cat with lots of white underneath and white paws.

CLAIRBAIR is just the sweetest dog.  Yes, we say that all the time, but we do really mean it.  ClairBair can be a little shy with strangers, but once she knows you and you give her a big  belly rub, she's yours forever.  ClairBair is 3 years old and spayed, an American Bulldog mix.  Several people have come to look at ClairBiar, but then left with a different dog, and we're just not sure why.  She is very smart and very playful.  ClairBair is great on a leash and has great manners.  She is also housebroken.  She came to the shelter with another adult dog, but after being with us for a while, we think she would be best as an "only dog child".  She loves attention and she deserves it.  Come meet ClairBair, you will love her as much as we do!

We have 3 'FREE' Dogs and 0 'FREE' Cats!
