NEWS! NEWS! NEWS!

Since Shep is our longest residence he got to be the first dog to check out the new fence!
He was let off leash in the big pen next to the driveway and he smelled every inch of that fence.
He got to spend his first night outside the Big Dog House in over 1 year.  
Shep had such a good time and he is now a really happy boy!
We have decided that Shep would be a great night watchman, so he will be outside every
night keeping vigil on our shelter and taking care of all the other residences. 

We have some new things going on at the
Tri-Lakes Humane Society.
We have paved the parking lot and driveway and new fencing has been installed around our perimeter and divided for large fenced exercise areas in our yard.  We are so excited for the dogs because they will now be able to exercise in the grass and also for our "dog walking" volunteers, who can now take the dogs to one of these fenced areas and let the dog off leash.  We know that some of our dogs can play fetch and do lots of other things that they never get a chance to when they are on the leash.  It's a great time at the Tri-Lakes Humane Society and you are all invited to come by and see our improvements.

Through a partial grant from Table Rock Community Foundation we were able to purchase Kuranda Beds for our entire dog population.
