Adoption Policy & Approval Process

At Tri-Lakes Humane Society, our primary responsibility is to ensure the safety, well-being, and lifelong success of the animals in our care. Every adoption decision is made with the best interest of the animal as the highest priority.
All adoptions are subject to approval. We reserve the right to refuse service or decline any adoption application at our sole discretion if we determine that the placement may not be in the best interest of the animal.
As part of our adoption process, we verify that:
-
Landlords and/or property owners have approved the pet.
-
Property managers do not have breed, size, or pet number restrictions that would conflict with the adoption.
-
Local ordinances and housing policies allow the type and number of animals being adopted.

Our goal is to place each pet in a safe, stable, and permanent home. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to find the very best homes for the animals entrusted to our care.
