DOB: 1/20/2020
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Personality: Meet this playful girl with a big personality and plenty of energy to share! She loves toys and is always ready for fun. She has worked with a trainer and did great, picking up new commands quickly and showing just how smart she is. She usually does well with other dogs, but a meet and greet would tell for sure.
New people and busy situations can make her a little nervous at first, and young children may be too much for her, so she would likely do best in an adult-only home. Give her a little time and patience, though, and her sweet, loving side starts to shine. Once she trusts you, she is the kind of dog who will happily be by your side through it all.
If you are looking for a fun, smart companion and are willing to give her time to settle in, she just might be your perfect match.
As a long term resident, her adoption fee is discounted to $50!

DOB 4/26/2018
Breed: Hound Mix
Personality: Hero is a handsome gentleman who loves being outside. Whether he is exploring, stretching out in the sunshine, or checking out what is going on around him, he is happiest when he has room to roam. Kennel life is not really his thing, and he would much rather be out enjoying the world with his people. He generally gets along well with other dogs and will never turn down a good treat.
Hero can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a few visits and some patience, and you will start to see his sweet personality come through. He will likely to best in an adult-only home that's nice and calm. He just wants a comfy front porch to lay on and relax, like the cute old man he is. Once he feels comfortable, he is a really good boy just looking for someone to call his own.
As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $50!

DOB: 03/13/2021
Breed: Shepherd Boxer Mix
Personality: Pugsley is a sweet, shy boy who’s found himself back with us after an unfortunate incident with the resident cat in his previous home. While he may need a little time to come out of his shell, Pugsley is full of love and ready to bond with someone special.
This sweet guy does best with other dogs, so he would need a resident dog (or dogs!) to be part of his pack. He’s looking for a peaceful, cat-free (and chicken-free!) home where he can feel safe and secure. With a bit of patience and a lot of love, Pugsley is sure to become a loyal and affectionate companion.
As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $50!

DOB: 10/31/2023
Breed: Heeler Mix
Personality: This sweet boy is always up for fun, whether that means tagging along on a road trip, hitting the trails, or curling up for some quality couch time (expect a few sloppy kisses). Harvey has a big personality and a lot of love to give. He can be a little picky about his dog friends, but he has plenty of charm to make up for it.
Harvey can be a bit unsure around new people at first, so it may take a little patience and a visit or two for him to feel comfortable. Once he gets to know you, though, his goofy, affectionate side really comes out.
Harvey is a smart guy with a sharp herding-dog brain, and he will do best with someone confident who understands how to keep both his mind and body busy. He enjoys having a job to do, learning new things, and staying engaged. Harvey can be protective when he feels like he needs to be, so he needs a person who can step up as his leader and help him feel like he does not have to handle everything himself. He will also likely do best in an adult only home.
As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $50!

DOB: 12/17/2020
Breed: Boxer Mix
Personality: Hutch is a very good boy with quite the story. After being adopted, he became well-known when he went missing for over three months before being found skinny and injured. Now safely back with us, Hutch is got the care he needs and is ready for his forever home.
Hutch is great with kids and loves his people, but he will need a home with no cats or other dogs, as he can be particular about his canine friends. He’s also a bit of a Houdini escape artist, so a secure setup and attentive family are a must. With the right home, Hutch will be a loyal, loving companion ready to leave his wandering days behind.
As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $50!

DOB: 1/20/2025
Breed: Mix
Personality: Jax is a extremely playful little guy! He loves being outside and playing with all the toys! He has a huge personality and loves to talk to you. He is more of a stay at home dog who gets a little nervous out in the big world.
Jax is looking for a calm and understanding home who will allow him time and patience to feel comfortable and break out of his shell! He will become the sweetest boy you have ever met. He has a couple dog friends at the shelter already, so we think he would do well in a home with other dogs.
As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $50!

DOB: 04/04/2019
Breed: Terrier Mix
Personality: Sonny is a fun, goofy pup with a cool tiger-striped coat. He loves the water, especially when the hose is on, and gets excited for walks. Don’t be surprised if he grabs the leash and tries to take the lead, he’s just ready to get out and explore.
He’s got the sweetest big puppy eyes that are hard to say no to, and his playful personality will keep you smiling. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts silly and lovable, Sonny would be a great fit.
As Sonny is getting older, he's become a little more moody and particular about the company he keeps. A home with adult children may be best as to not startle this little old man.
As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $50!

DOB: 12/1/2023
Breed: Pyrenees Mix
Personality: Rufus is a sweet, anxious boy who struggles in busy kennel environments. After moving him to a quieter space, he settled in, stopped destroying his kennel, and was finally able to relax and sleep. This tells us Rufus does best in calm, low-traffic environments.
Rufus needs a patient foster or adopter who will give him time to build trust. Once he feels safe, he is incredibly cuddly, goofy, and loving. He’s been through a lot, and stability and consistency will make all the difference for him.
If you can offer Rufus a quiet home or even some extra one-on-one time, you could change his world.
Rufus is currently in coster, please call the shelter to coordinate a meeting!
As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $50!

DOB: 11/11/2016
Breed: Terrier Mix
Personality: Meet Chloe, the queen of the kennel sploot, proudly showing off her toe beans while cooling her belly after sunny walks. This sweet girl can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s all kisses, belly offers, play bows, and happy spins with her tongue hanging out.
Chloe loves to wrestle and chase, so a chicken-free home would be ideal. Balls are strongly encouraged. Top it all off with the most adorable ears that perk up with a curious head tilt, and you’ve got a total heart-melter ready to pick her new family.

DOB: 03/16/2021
Breed: Mix
Personality: Gus is an incredibly friendly pup with energy for days! He loves playing outside and going for walks. He is a strong boy, and can sometimes pull on a leash if he's a little too excited. He is house trained and sweet as ever, he's never met a stranger!
He would do best in a house with a yard where he can run and play. He sometimes doesn't know how strong he is (he thinks he's a baby!), so a home with older children would be best.
He recently returned after being adopted to a family with a farm. Turns out he doesn't like donkeys so he found his way back to us!
As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $50!

DOB: 12/1/2019
Breed: Lab Mix
Personality: Meet Korra, our beautiful Lab mix with a soft heart and a loyal spirit.
Korra can be a little wary of strangers at first, and it really depends on the person. She tends to feel more comfortable around women and does best when given the time and space to warm up at her own pace. Once she trusts you, though, she is all about the cuddles and will happily soak up all the affection you have to give.
Korra would prefer to be the only animal in the home, as she is not comfortable around other pets. She is not overly motivated by treats, but she will occasionally enjoy playing with a toy. What she truly loves most is being close to her person and feeling safe.
If you are patient, understanding, and looking for a loyal companion to share your couch and your heart, Korra might be your girl.

His foster family has reported that he is a VERY good boy and just wants to be close to you. He'll be your little shadow as you do chores around your property. He does well with chickens and other dogs.
Buddy is currently in foster, please call the shelter to coordinate a meeting!

DOB: 10/23/2021
Breed: Red Heeler Mix
Personality: Tuck originally came to the shelter as a stray with his brother, Fred. Fred has since found his forever home, and Tuck was recently returned through no fault of his own after changes in his family's life meant they could no longer keep him. Now he is hoping his next home will be his forever one.
Tuck is friendly and generally gets along well with other dogs, though he prefers a little space during mealtime. He has a fun, playful personality and plenty of love to give to the right family.
If you are looking for an adventure buddy with a sweet side, Tuck would love to meet you!

DOB: 9/1/2024
Breed: Lab Mix
Personality: Meet Journey! This energetic pup is a vibrant companion who absolutely loves human interaction and playtime. While she prefers to be the only pet in the household, her love for people and toys, especially rope toys, make her the perfect furry friend for an active owner.
Journey enjoys long walks and is always ready for a tasty treat, so get ready to keep up with lively spirit! This girl was transferred from a kill shelter since we knew we could find her perfect family. Stop by and give her some love!

DOB: 8/18/2023
Breed: Husky/Shepherd Mix
Personality: Luna is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves her people and wants to be right by their side. Shelter life has been tough for her because she really needs human companionship.
Luna is smart, loyal, and would do best in an active home with plenty of attention, exercise, and structure. She does well with other dogs and kids and is a true Velcro pup who bonds closely with her humans. Luna has a bit of a prey drive and will need a cat (and chicken-free) home.
Luna will do best in a home with a yard, but can be a bit of an escape artist so you'll need to be mindful of that until she settles in.

DOB: 8/18/2023
Breed: Lab Mix
Personality: Juno is the sweetest mama you’ll ever meet. This little girl came in with her two puppies, Odin and Atlas. She’s a lovable girl who just wants to be close to her people and enjoy all the snuggles.
She did very well in foster and showed she loves to play in the lake! She may do best in a house with a fenced in yard or with leashed walks, as she can get a little distracted chasing those pesky squirrels! She is well mannered in the house and will try to hog your spot on the couch, she just wants to be close to her person!

DOB: 2/21/2018
Breed: Black Lab Mix
Personality: Joel came to the shelter with his sister, Pepper, after their family had to move and could not take them along. He is a friendly, easygoing guy who loves meeting new people, getting pets, and carrying around his favorite toys. Joel enjoys tug games, cuddles, and spending time outside (especially in a little pool!).
Joel is house trained, knows "sit," and generally gets along well with other dogs and cats. He has been wonderful with young children and has a calm, gentle personality. He can pull on a leash when excited, especially if he spots a squirrel, but has improved over time.
Joel enjoys stuffed toys, rope toys, and any snack he can convince you to share, especially cheese. He does have a habit of trying to eat things he should not, so toys and small items should be kept out of reach. Joel can be vocal when something catches his attention, making him a good little neighborhood watch dog.
We would love if he could stay with his sister, but will consider adopting them separately to lower their length of stay.

DOB: 3/5/2023
Breed: Black Lab/Chow Chow Mix
Personality: Pepper arrived at the shelter with her brother, Joel after her family had to move and couldn't take them along. She has settled in well at the shelter and is a volunteer favorite when we are visited by our friends with the Stone County Developmental Disability group!
She is playful, affectionate, and happiest when she’s getting belly rubs, playing tug, or tagging along for outdoor adventures. Pepper can get excited when meeting new people and may jump at first, but she settles once she gets some attention.
Pepper is house trained, knows “sit,” walks fairly well on a leash, and gets along with other dogs. She has also done well with cats and has been gentle with young children, though her enthusiasm can occasionally get the best of her. She rarely barks, loves rope toys and snacks, and would enjoy a home where she gets plenty of attention, playtime, and love.
We would love if she could stay with her brother, Joel, but will adopt them separately to decrease their length of stay.

DOB: 2/24/2024
Breed: Bloodhound
Personality: This is Lou Lou, a beautiful Bloodhound with a gentle, easygoing personality.
She is crate and house trained, loves car rides, and gets along great with other animals of all kinds. Lou Lou was found abandoned on a highway near Oklahoma State University, and despite that rough start, she’s remained incredibly sweet.
She was adopted in November but returned because she likes to roam, so she’ll need a fenced yard or to be leash walked until she settles into her new home.
Lou Lou is a wonderful dog who just needs a little structure and a safe place to call her own.

Jax
DOB: 2/24/2024
Breed: Lab Mix
Personality: This is Jax, he is a recent return so we are still getting to know this cutie pie.
He started to get a little anxious around the new baby/toddler in his houses so we think a home with older or adult children would be best.

Atlas
DOB: 9/1/2024
Breed: Lab Mix
Personality: This sweet boy came in with his mom and brother after being found as strays. He loves kids, gets along great with other dogs, and has the friendliest personality. He's learning his manners, walks on a leash, and already knows how to sit. He does pretty well overnight for a young pup, just has the occasional accident if he has to hold it too long.
If you're looking for a cuddly, easygoing best friend, he is your guy.

DOB: 3/1/2018
Breed: Mastiff
Personality: Phoebe is a beautiful Mastiff girl who is learning that people can be kind. We believe she may have been used for breeding before finding her way to us, and it is clear life has not always been easy for her.
Phoebe came to the shelter after being left outside in a kennel with nothing but a bag of food. Since arriving, she has been slowly learning what safety and care look like. New people can make her nervous, and being kenneled around other dogs is stressful for her.
She was not given much socialization early in life, so new experiences can feel overwhelming.
Even so, Phoebe is making progress. Little by little, she is starting to let her guard down and show the sweet dog underneath. She will need someone patient who understands that trust takes time. Experience with Mastiffs or other giant breeds would be a big plus for this special girl.
Phoebe has been through more than any dog should, and she deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and finally home. If you think you might be the person to give her that chance, please come meet her.

Reggie
-In Foster-
DOB: 8/01/2025
Breed: Chihuahua Mix
Personality: Reggie is a young Chihuahua mix with a big personality and a fun-loving side. He had a rough start in life, but he does not let that stop him. Reggie warms up quickly and once he knows you, he is a super fun, loyal little guy.
He is mostly housebroken and does best with consistency and routine. Reggie is respectful of house rules and would enjoy a yard to explore. He is not one to run off, but if he is not ready to come inside, he can be pretty clever about buying himself more outdoor time.
Reggie loves chew toys, rides well in the car, and is an excellent sleeper, both at night and during daytime naps. One of his favorite things is other friendly dogs, and he would make a great playmate in a home with a canine buddy.
If you are looking for a fun little sidekick.
Reggie is currently in foster, please call the shelter to coordinate a meeting!
